Celebrate with Chochmat HaLev

Chochmat HaLev - High Holy Day 2007 - Photo by Max-Inc.comThese High Holy Days, we at Chochmat HaLev say Shehekhianu—a deep prayer of gratitude to the One who has brought us to the present moment, who has united us with a soulful and wise new Rabbi—Rabbi SaraLeya Schley—and who sustains us as we endeavor each day to build and renew this joyous and meaningful community.

The Shehekhianu prayer is more than a congratulations, more than a Mazel Tov. The prayer asks us not only to conjure up that for which we are grateful but also to pause, to stand in the moment so that we deeply experience the warmth and depth of gratitude in our bodies and in our
souls.

On Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur, won’t you pause with us and step into that moment—an expansive moment of oneness: where each of us within community can hold and celebrate the blessing that is our life, where from our depths we can entreat the One to inscribe us for blessing in the book of life, and where together we can raise our voices in praise to sing:

Shehekhianu,
Vekiamanu,
Vihigianu Lazman Hazeh!

Join Rabbi SaraLeya Schley and the Chochmat band in a soulful and uplifting journey into the new year!
